How Many Hours Do You Work?
By ShaneCultra - February 28, 2010 - 7 Comments
How many hours do you work? I find that everyone wants what I have but when they realize how many hours it takes to actually accomplish they seem to give up hope or try and find an easier way. I'll save everyone the time, there isn't an easier way.
I have had the luxury of never working for anyone other than family my whole life except for a few jobs in High School and College. The running joke is "when you work for yourself you get to set your own hours and if you want, you can work only 30 hours" I completely agree with that statement but I always answer "True..but I still work the next... Sunday Sunday A Few Nice Domains Dropping Today
By ShaneCultra - February 28, 2010 - 0 Comments
A very special edition of Sunday Drops and not just because my wife turns 40 today. Why did Sunday get separated out from the normal weekend combo? Because Saturday had a lot of good names. Now on to the drops
FCNA.com Very good letters for an acronym. I don't usually like acronyms but this could represent a lot of things for an enduser
TulipGarden.com Plant names are hot. I know, it's what I do. This one will probably go for a few hundred but still a good deal. Why don't I take it? I have already have a good enough tulip domain
A ton of Celebrity Names.org on Godaddy I don't do... Read More »

Some Real Nice Domains Dropping This Morning (Top PPC)
By ShaneCultra - February 27, 2010 - 2 Comments
This daily morning post is evolving. In addition to the 6 or 7 drops that I'll feature, I'm also going to end with 3 daily domains for sale. They will be for sale through me. If you have a domain you'd like to sell, feel free to email me. I would like to specialize in 4L and 5L domains but of course I will take generics as well. I would like to keep the names on the inexpensive side ($100-$1000) as there are plenty of great newsletters out there covering the expensive stuff. Now onto the drops and the names
TopPPC.com For domainers, this would make a nice site for selling names with high PP... Read More »
And Here are the Results For the First “Which One Sold For More”
By ShaneCultra - February 26, 2010 - 4 Comments
UPDATE: Chef Patrick only got 6 right so the title this week is owned outright by SL and the runner up prize goes to the other Patrick for pointing it out
We actually had a tie. Both SL and Chef Patrick got 7 correct but since SL had his answer in first he is the winner , so as promised........SL is this Week's Champion (notice the bold). The consolation prize goes to Patrick and that is the fake free trip on DNCruise, but since it's his Cruise it goes back into the kitty. Thanks to everyone that played. People did exactly how I expected them to do. Overall, most people were about 50/50... Read More »

History in the Making. First Meeting of the the Urbana Domainers Club
By ShaneCultra - February 26, 2010 - 3 Comments
I'm going to admit it, it was a very very small meeting. Basically it was just me and this guy I work with. Despite the fact it was just the two of us, we had a great time. The party was sponsored by the Homer Lake Women's Quilting Club and both of us got an incredible hand stitched mousepads that said "Domainers have long tail keywords". We both had a laugh and got right down to business. Some of the highlights of the meeting.
1. Todd used his Godaddy .99 cent coupon code and registered 5StarLamb.com. After the register we got a bit off topic and talked sheep for a half hour. Did y... Read More »

A Few Nice Domains Dropping Today ($7.68 CPC)
By ShaneCultra - February 26, 2010 - 2 Comments
Had another nice sale yesterday for a nice profit. I may not do this full time but $500 profit at a time adds up. You may dream of quick riches in domaining but most likely you'll have to join me and make it in $100 increments instead of thousands. Now on to the names
SelfResponsibility.com This could be a huge site because most people I know don't have this
Theoretical.com A great name that won't go cheap. Could also be branded as a company so anything under 10K is a good buy here
KeepOnRunning.com You can easily flip this one for $100 or more. $10 bid so far

Let’s Play a Game: Which Name Sold For More?
By ShaneCultra - February 25, 2010 - 11 Comments
Update: Taking Guesses Until Noon Eastern Time and Then I'll Announce a Winner:
I have a little game to play this evening. It's simple, I'll list two names that recently sold and you try and guess which one sold for more. Don't cheat and look it up, try and see how well you know the value of domains. List your answers in the comments using a,a,b,c format. The person who gets the most right get a Free Trip on DnCruise.com . Just kidding on the free cruise thing but I will announce you as the winner tomorrow and I'll put it in bold. If you cheat and win, that's between you and Karma.

Do I or Don’t I: The “Send it To Auction” Gamble
By ShaneCultra - February 25, 2010 - 1 Comment
It happens to me every few days. There is an email saying "Congratulations, someone has made an offer on xxxxxx" I set my minimum offers low on many of my domains for two reasons. One, I'm open to any offer regardless of how low, it only takes a few minutes to say no. Two, in the info about each domain there is a "previous offers for this domain" section and I like it to look like it's in high demand. They don't know that it's a $10,000 domain that's received 40 $200 offers.
Here lies the fun and games. I feel that Sedo auctions represent the closest thing to the true value of a domain.... Read More »
Look Here. A Few Nice Domains Dropping Today ($48 CPC)
By ShaneCultra - February 25, 2010 - 0 Comments
I've seen better names but there are certainly enough domains here today to make some money. I have a domain at Sedo ending today if anyone is interested. Nice brandable Kibbo.com at $390 with 10 bids as of this posting. Now onto the names
BuyStructuresSettlements.com Yeah it only has 595 searches but damn the CPC of $48.52 is amazing. Doesn't take many clicks to do well here
WaterproofLaptop.com I would love to have an "s" on the end but it still works. Valuate has a $2400 value on it
HatsforWomen.com It certainly would be a nice domain for selling women's hats. Only 1,000 searches... Read More »
