There are a couple of great names on Godaddy today. I've been watching Lunk.com for a week or so and I'll be in for a few more dollars than it is at the time of this writing. I don't buy and sell 3L dot com but there is a nice one of those today as well. EWC.com Godaddy loves when people forget to renew domains of this caliber. Last fall I decided to start blogging about domains. My favorite blog at the time was Reece Berg's LLLL.com and after coming off a recent non compete from an old site I was looking for my next "niche" to write about. Godaddy Goes Down Taking Sites and Email with Them

September 10th, 2012 UPDATE: Looks like it has happened again. Godaddy is down taking all their sites and their email with them. While we don't know the cause (The Hackers Anonymous have claimed responsibility), there are literally million of people that have been affected. Godaddy and their brilliant marketing team have merely responded with "We're working on it". For a billion dollar company to let something like this go on all day is inexcusable and gives us all the more reason have an alternative source of email and off site backup.
