Maybe It’s Just Me, But I Can’t Register For DomainFest

By - December 31, 2010 - 0 Comments
Update:   Evidently my large purchase at NameJet the other day shut down my card.  I only noticed it because 5 minutes ago Snapnames emailed and said my card was declined.  Of course I didn't get any message saying what was wrong and since my card has such a large limit that never came to mind.  I'm actually happy they are watching out for me.  I do a heck of a lot of online purchasing so it's nice to think that they are still watching the account despite the fact I have to make a phone call occasionally to open it back up. All is well and I'm all signed up.  Sorry for the false alarm and I apolo... Read More »

The Last Damn Dropping Domains and Auctions You’ll Hear From Me This Year

By - December 31, 2010 - 2 Comments
Well, this pretty much wraps it up.  Hope you guys enjoyed a full year of me writing these things pretty much every day.  If any thing, I'm consistent.   I would like to make a special shout out to Drop Day for their sponsoring of this post by giving me complete reign of their data.  Sergey does an incredible job over there and it's certainly worth your money to flip through.  Of course if Domain Tools would like to be a co sponsor I could really make some headway with more data (first shill, now beggar, I have no shame).  Enough business, let's get to the fun but before I do. PLEASE be safe toni... Read More »

It's the same people that have a business of shippable products that will spend $10,000 on a sign for the front of their office that 80,000 people will see but not spend $10,000 on a domain that the whole world will see.  Fortunately for domain investors there are still enough business owners that are a st... 10 Interesting Things I Found While Cleaning Up 14,000 Emails

By - December 30, 2010 - 1 Comment
If you're like me you get a ton of emails. Let me rephrase that, a shitload of emails.  I do a little clean up as I go but with 3 computers at different locations and an iPhone, you read it on one device and it festers on the others.  My home computer is the main computer that keeps all emails from all accounts. Permanently.  I also have a backup that backs the computer up every 5 minutes. What this leads to is a computer with every single email I didn't delete as I read it from the past 3 years.  14,435 to be exact.  My job today was simple.  Go through all of them and delete every email I didn't...
