Thursday’s Daily Domain Drops and Auctions: One of the Better Lists Today

By - February 24, 2011 - 1 Comment
Every once in a while a day comes around with a bunch of strong names.  Today is one of those days.  Perhaps they are names that just appeal to me but either way I like them.  Take a look. CedarFurniture.com If you have ever been to a cabin you'll see that country folk love their cedar furniture.  Big name here SteelBanding.com $4800 valuate and no bidders.  I used to use this all the time when I worked at a factory in High School.  Every company uses this or plastic banding. If no bidders by tomorrow I jump in and take it. MeatPrices.com I think this is worth every bit of the $600 price... Read More »

Can You Identify These Domainers? The Big Jumbo “Name That Domainer” Contest

By - February 23, 2011 - 10 Comments
If you were at DomainFest and visited the Big Jumbo booth you were treated to a special treat, a caricature of yourself.  If you've ever had a caricature done you realize that they accentuate all your features, good or bad.  I thought the artist that Big Jumbo used was one of the better artist I'd seen.  Some loved their drawings and others didn't, OK Elliot didn't.  At the end of the conference Big Jumbo had this great collection of Domainer drawings and I thought it would be fun to see how many people could identify the domainers by their face.  Here's how the contest works 1. And The Winner in the “Most Beautiful Domain Shane T-Shirt Model” Is………………

By - February 22, 2011 - 7 Comments
I recently had a contest to win a lovely DomainShane T-shirt.  There were two ways to win.  One was very successful, one sucked.  The part that asked people to find the hottest or cutest model was successful with 6 entries.  The find the highest valued hand register was a bomb with no entries.  The most popular email?..... "Give me a T-shirt".  In all the chaos of emails,  one winner emerged. I couldn't have picked out a better model if I had searched myself.  The original thought was a "she" but the winner came in as a "he".  The winner is none other the Jaden Wells aka Ron Wells Jr., son of d... By - February 22, 2011 - 4 Comments
I've been slowly putting together a list of 100 domain investing tips.  The list contains a little common sense, a few reminders, and perhaps a few new ideas. Here is are tips 51-60 51.  Take what you read on the Internet with a grain of salt. View the information as a puzzle piece.  A piece that needs to be combined with other pieces to create a final picture. Everything on the net needs a second opinion. 52. Trends can make you money but most likely will eat you alive , $8 at a time.   Every once in a while you'll get ahead of a trend and be able to hand register a good name. More often you...
