The day has arrived.  The day all the dot co domains went to auction at Godaddy.  There are way too many to list today.  There are so many dropping that it is inevitable that there will be some "bargains" in the mix.  I am going to buy a few and see what I can do with them.  I would like to point out there is a reason why all these names are dropping.  Most of these will never make you a dime.  But.......some will, now let's try and find out which ones. Unless, you're Elliot, it's probably a little late if you don't already know, but DomainFest Meetup in New York is tomorrow from 7-10Pm EST at Mad46 Rooftop. For the price of a bottle of water in New York ($150) you can have a great time rubbing elbows with fellow domain investors and get a great view of the city to boot. The domain auction also starts tomorrow and goes on for the next month (a bit long in my opinion) and concludes on September 20th. These are the kind of things that drive me crazy.  The ICM registry has done a great job with the introduction of their tld and seems to have thought out their release plans but they have left out a little detail.What does it cost to protect your trademark from future registration? Most businesses feel that they are being forced to protect their trademark in this situation but my opinion is that is part of business. The Dot Cos are dropping.  The dot cos are dropping.  You will find more dot co domains on my list in the next few weeks than any time in history.  I think the risk reward may be pretty good on a few of these drops so over the next few days you'll see a few that I think are worth the investment.
