The Daily recap of Shane’s Auction Picks, the 19th and 20th of February
Domain.com Issues and Account Push Work around Solution
I had planned on publishing the 19th’s recap yesterday. I ended up on the phone with my new least favorite registrar. I had an issue with pushing domains into a buyers account. We did manage to fix the issue after hours and hours, phone calls and support tickets. I’ll layout the issue and the easiest solution that I found.
Domain.com… You surly old bastard registrar. I hate your face… Your bulk registration, which only allows something like 50 domains at a time, is so bad it usually doesn’t work. You have to load the domains into the bulk tool, watch it spin, bob and weave for several minutes, when it’s done all the available names have 2 years on them. There’s a drop down box to change the registration length from 2-1 year, but everytime I did that it took me to a new screen. Then the system would process some more, and after a long time of trying it never worked.
But this wasn’t my issue for most of the night last night. I sold some .club domains to a buyer and simply wanted to push them into his account. There was no “button” to change accounts in the control panel like there is for other TLD’s. So after a couple phone calls, emails and chat boxes, spanning 2 days, the Tech told me last night that they couldn’t do it. He said that I would have to get the buyer on at the same time so he could confirm his account.
How the hell was I supposed to get the buyer that lived across the planet on the same call with me. I had to wait for 45 minutes onhold before being connected, there was no way I was gonna attempt to coordinate that. The Chat help box also wouldn’t allow me to type anything. The further explanation was that .club was managed by some other registrar and hadn’t added the push button to the back end software. Who knew? I was pretty pissed that I couldn’t do something as simple as push domains. The buyer had confirmed his account like they had asked us to do the day before, but it seems like he had to do it again or at the same time.
The Solution was for me to create another account and have the tech push them into the new account. Once that was set up I gave all the account info to the buyer and explained everything to him. Sometimes you have to look for simple work around on your own, especially when the tech department can’t do something that they should be able to do. If I would have known that before last night, I would have saved hours of time and aggravation.
SLC.net 19 years old. As good of letters as you’re going to get. C is the best ending letter out there in English
CVVM.com In 1997 when this was originally registered they didn’t have a clue that those Vs would be looked at like they were an abandoned Flint Michigan home.
335 USD Another fake 3 letter.
CountryBar.com Great marketing name for just that. 18 years old to boot. Cowboy boot that is. One bidder at $12
665 USD, CuntryBar.com is availalbe for hand reg.
BuyItHere.com 17 years old. One bidder at $12. Sounds like as good of a place as anywhere. Might as well buy it there. I mean buy it here
1,480 USD Good name, Wherever here is.
MAIM.com Not sure what to call this other than a LLLL.com with good letters
CritterZone.com A PR 4 with 6800 backlinks. That and everyone loves critters. Especially Ellie May (most of you won’t get that one)
? Not a bad name, I can see it. I bet it was spammed.
CarJuice.com No bidders. 13 years old. Not sure what the juice is going to do for the car but I’m sure the car will be better for having used it on it.
? Or is it the Juice you get when you squeeze the car?
CatCancer.com Sir I have some good new and some bad news. The bad news is ..your cat has cancer. The good news…..well its a cat Too insensitive? Don’t worry if you saw me cry when my cat died you know I’m just kidding
230 USD Lots of money in Cat insurance and Cat surgeries. You can use this as lead Gen for either. Maybe sell Cat ChemoTherapy or Organic Cat food.
Mommy.biz I think there are names where biz works and this is one. No bidders at $12. Moms essentially run a business or raising kids. Their in the mommy biz

Something will have to give soon. Either the price of comparable .coms are going up or these are going down. I like the former to happen
The Price disparity is very interesting.
97098.com I know it has a zero but this is a $1500 plus name IMO
54134.com Not as nice as the above. Still a luxury numeric, just with a smaller engine and missing a few options like heated seats
06558.com This one is in between the quality of the two above. I used to not like numbers starting in zero but now I think they are a good value.
171790.com The 17 is the key here. And again, I like the zeros at the end. Another type that I think offers good value
1552.biz I’ve always been a fan of dot biz. Just not smart enough to buy the LLL and the NNNN along the way
ZXZK.cc I think this is a great buy under $100 But don’t listen to me. If you do you will lose all your money and be forced to take a job as the official watermelon thumper for Scott Day’s watermelon farm
YoJo.cc Not a bad buy at the current $17 price
30282.com Better get this early. End at 7 am central today. Very nice name. Hopefully reserve is reasonable
CRPT.co the way dot co is going this may end up being a pretty good buy at its current price of $15. May not stay their now though……sorry
? I’m interested to see what happens with these. It’s hard to believe the 3L’s going crazy won’t affect the 4l’s. Sometimes these are perfect clues to find your next value buy.
123Vape.com One bidder at $12. As good of a vape name as some of them I’ve seen. Certainly memorable
105 USD I have some Vape Names. I think 123 is the second best number after 888. It has worldwide acceptance and appeal.
NYBB.com Coming up tomorrow but thought I would give you a sneak peak at this beaut. New York Bed and Breakfast
888811.space My first dot space name EVER on my list. Might be my last
? It’s too soon .space. You’ll have your time. maybe
WHDR.com Closes early this morning and its met reserve even though its under $1900
GWYC.com Reserve met here as well. Under $1800
YMN.cc Yes they have gotten this high
IHR.net The I is bad in the Chinese world but these letters are premium Western letters for an acronym
SNPZ.com You can usually buy LLLL.coms at a discount on Flippa but they are starting to catch up
NZHC.com A CHiP that ends in a C is always worth more
RJCCC.com 17 years old. Can’t believe someone saw the triple repeating 5L.com craze coming 17 years ago
PerfectCouple.com 16 years old . Yeah, I was thinking Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavalarri too. Actually anyone and Kristin Cavalarri
1,213 USD Sold for over $3k on Afternic a few years ago. Nice name.
538.biz There is nothing hotter than dot biz right now. First time I’ve seen a NNN. I’ve actually seen more NN than NNN
2 days left
MillionMinute.com Used to be a site that promoted family time. DMOZ listed and some backlinks
OnlineGiftGuide.com A little long but no bidders at $12. 13 years old
? If you were going to build something like an amazon affiliate site this wouldn’t be bad. I wouldn’t pay that much for the name though.
EYHL.com, Listed as BIN
JHIO.com 448 USD
NWUM.com 365 USD
Here’s your bottom LLLL.com boats
PJ71.com 12 years old. Somebody thought these are good for a brand or name because they bought it 12 years ago before “the craze”
465 USD, Wow Seriously, just for the age?
WGYN.com Youth Network which is means CHiP in Chinese
8UJ.com Any two letters behind an 8 is money
CBT.cc I am a bidder. You should want to own this if you like to make money. Dot cc is not a passing fad……..I definitely think
FlexBucks.com No bidders. I feel like I earned a bunch of these shopping somewhere but never used them. Probably in my “Keep this because I might use this but will never use this” Shoebox in my closet
? It does seem like a familiar term something like camel cash. It could also be a site about stretching routines for male deer.
InsuranceForChildren.com One bidder at $10. Not worth a lot but you know people are looking for this
217 USD It got the Cultra Bump. I think auctions started at $10 are Godaddy Drop catches aren’t they? I’m pretty sure if you drop catch with Godaddy and they catch it goes to auction. The person that place this order hates you now.
GreyMouse.com and GrayMouse.com If you want to corner the Grey,Gray Mouse Market
? One of these sold for a few K a couple of years ago.
77489.com, 950 USD
77072.com Looks at the difference between a zero and a 4 5N.com Even with the 8
77035.com And then end it with a 5 and you add even more money
77017.com 2,176 USD
77031.com, 1,476 USD
77034.com, 771 USD
77037.com, 2,476 USD
77038.com, 1,337 USD
77039.com, 1,237 USD
77045.com, 930 USD
77053.com, 1,359 USD
77060.com, 1,825 USD
77067.com, 1,826 USD
77071.com, 1,727 USD
77074.com, 791 USD
77086.com, 1,675 USD
77087.com, 1,977 USD
77090.com, 1,825 USD
77091.com, 1,337 USD
77545.com, 942 USD
This is a good list of similar numbers to study, not as an absolute rule but as a guide rather. If all of these were auctioned at the exact same time with the exact same audience, it might be a different stroy. With the 5n’s and also 7n’s the 0 in the middle can be a good pivot point. It seems like symmetry on either side has more value. Note the highest names started and ended in 7 even names with a 7 in the second half but not at the end went for more than a name ending in 8. I have no idea why ending in 17 and 37 went for more than 87 and 67
HowToGame.com I have no game. Maybe I can learn here. One bidder at press time
256 USD. It’s catchy
665732.com 249 USD
631213.com 255 USD
577659.com 226 USD
178968.com 230 USD
The average is creeping up. And action is picked up on China. Will be interesting to see if its buy side movement or sell side movement.
NXSK.com It’s ugly but an ugly $2K
275000.com Triple zeros are evidently good
1,225 USD Yeah always has been, Some of the highest early numeric sales were round numbers.
111031.com It looks shorter because ones don’t take up a lot of space
111203.com, 405 USD
200526.com A few nice 6N.coms with zeros. I’ve made it clear I find these the best value right now
HealthyMenus.com Healthy is a word that everyone uses now. Its a relative, most of it isn’t healthy. BUT still a nice name
785 USD Seems like a good app name for healthy recipes or restaurants.
CZMF.net 236 USD
CPJK.net , 238 USD
TMHM.net, 236 USD
WXFN.net, 237 USD
HZYL.net 241 USD
