I Finally Did It…I Joined Twitter

By - January 30, 2012 - 8 Comments
I realize many won't see this as they're traveling to DOMAINfest, but I finally did it. I broke down and joined Twitter last night. You'll laugh but the main reason I did it is the new layout has a place for my Twitter handle and I didn't want to leave that blank. But once I did join I was glad I did. I think this will be a good opportunity to connect with a lot of readers and make quick little posts or post pics that wouldn't necessarily make it to the blog. Yes I will post stuff about domains but you can also expect just about anything else I can think of or come up with on there as well. I'll down... Read More »

My Obligitory ‘Goals of 2012′ Post

By - January 3, 2012 - 2 Comments
Happy New Year everybody. My New Year's eve was one of the boringest I've ever had and I really enjoyed it that way. I'm 29, not that old yet but not young anymore, and just didn't have the desire to go out at all. I stayed in and watched TV all night, drinkin' beers with a few friends. I appreciate my younger years as I did a whole lot of partying but I'm enjoying relaxing more and more as I get older. I think everyone makes some kind of goal at New Years. It seems natural as it is a new start of sorts. Everyone has something they'd like to accomplish or improve on and the new year always provid... Read More »

One Thing I’ve Already Learned From The New DomainNameSales.com

By - December 9, 2011 - 7 Comments
As Shane was the first to report a few days ago, Frank Schilling has launched the all new DomainNameSales.com. After checking it out the last couple of days I must admit it is impressive. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's a domain site like no other. It's the only domain site that provides an in-depth look at one of the largest domain portfolios in the world, providing up to date information on domain inquiries and quotes to prospective buyers. Needless to say, being able to see the domains that end-users are interested in is a gold mine to the average domainer. Within two days of the site's la... Read More »

Keeping Your Eyes Peeled For Opportunities

Do you know how much a US penny is worth? This isn't a trick question. A US penny is worth 1 cent or $0.01 of course. However, depending on how you look at it, a penny might be worth more. The next time you pick up a penny, take a look at it. If it is dated 1982 or before, the penny you are holding is actually worth $.024, or 2.4 cents, or 2.4 times it's street value. Pennies dated 1982 or before are 95% copper compared to those 1983 or later which are made from mostly zinc. Due to the rising prices of many metals such as gold and silver, the price of copper has also increased making regular 1 cent c... Read More »

Interesting Study About Internet Use

By - December 3, 2011 - 3 Comments
A recent study by the Pew Research Center discovered that 53% of young adults (ages 18-29) go online 'for no particular reason; for fun or to pass the time'. In my own study, 100% of those 53% were too embarrassed to answer 'porn'.... Read More »
