NNNN.com Numeric Weekly Domain Results

By - December 27, 2010 - 1 Comment
Another great few weeks of 4 number dot coms.  As I gather data of all the domains sold I am starting to pick up patterns.  Patterns that are allowing me to buy in one market and sell in another.  I'm strictly a buyer in this market so I have nothing to show for my effort but I am seeing the average sales value rise every week. Since My Last Sales Report 0173.com $1,365 12/16/10 4.cn 3247.com $735 12/16/10 4.cn 3462.com $720 12/16/10 4.cn 3588.com $14,409 12/16/10 4.cn 8789.com $3,765 12/16/10 4.cn 9462.com $1,081 12/16/10 4.cn 6896.com $... One of the Better CVCVs Is Up For Auction: MuMu.com

By - December 21, 2010 - 3 Comments
I recently came across a domain for auction at Snapnames, MUMU.com.  It's a heck of a domain and I can't believe it wasn't more publicized.  After doing a little whois research I realized that it's the domain of the guy that is the king of CVCV, Michael Gil.  The present bid of $26,000 seems fair considering the recent sales of Pepe.com at $65,000 by Francois and LoLo.com for $37,000.  I'll be curious to see how it does.  I think it hits $35K or so but I promise you won't see my name on the next whois because the price is already out of my range. Congrats Michael and to the new buyer, you've both d... Read More »

Big Business is Just Now Learning How to Reach Their Online Market

By - December 14, 2010 - 2 Comments
It's been a common theme in meeting with vendors and customers this year. How do I reach my very specific target audience with all the choices out their today?  Television is either too broad or too expensive, print is expensive and in decline, and the Internet is too big. While I understand their frustration with the first two, the "too big" part is their definition, and what they really mean is that there are so many websites out there how do they know where to advertise. Local advertising is a piece of cake.  Learning your town's source of news and information is pretty easy to figure out.  It ... Read More »

One of the Biggest Barriers in Domaining is?

By - December 10, 2010 - 10 Comments
Language. Domain Investors live all over the world and with that comes a ton of different languages. The language of choice tends to be English which fortunately for me is my native tongue. Unfortunately, many buyers and sellers don't speak the same language and it leads to communication problems. I'm certainly not a member of the grammar police and I always have been a hurried and error filled writer. I applaud the non English speaking domain investors that do their best to post on English forums and blog in English, despite not being fluent. I think Francois of Domaining.com would be the first... Anyone Know How These Things Work?

By - December 8, 2010 - 6 Comments
I'm traveling here in Oregon and came across this device. I think it's either a cell phone recharging station or a deluxe porta potty with a phone. I had no idea this state was so technologically advanced. ... Read More »
