By - January 27, 2012 - 4 Comments
Back in 2009 I met a young man named Alan Schaaf.  Alan had created a site called Imgur that was catching fire.  It was becoming THE photo hosting site for social aggregation sites like Reddit and Digg.  Two years and 6 MILLION visits per day later, Imgur has become one of the biggest sites on the planet and growing at a 20% PER MONTH rate.  Alan and I have kept in touch over the years but I figured it was time for him to update us on how everything was going.   Well Alan,  a lot has changed since we last talked.  First of all, congratulations on being nominated as Best Bootstrapped Sta... Interview with Looterang.com CEO Ben Huston

By - December 2, 2011 - 7 Comments
No, I'm not Morgan Linton, but yes I did conduct an interview with Ben Huston, CEO of coupon website start-up Looterang.com. As I reported last week, Looterang.com is an up and coming coupon deals site with a new concept that I think will catch on. When you register at Looterang, you register your credit or debit card, sign up for free offers from merchants, and then automatically receive the discount from Looterang's system when you pay at the merchants using the registered card. StormChasers.com is a ‘Gold Mine’ to owner Warren Faidley

By - September 16, 2011 - 4 Comments
While watching television the other day I saw a couple of spots advertising the upcoming season of the show Storm Chasers on the Discovery Channel. Although I think the producers make the show a little bit more dramatic than the reality that occurs, I still like the show and find it interesting. I love storms and actually wanted to become a meteorologist my entire childhood life, right up until college when I took calculus and decided I'd rather not beat my head against a wall as a profession. I jumped over to StormChasers.com for more info on the season only to find out that the domain does not forw... Read More »

By - April 28, 2011 - 4 Comments
If you didn't read part one of my interview with Anthony David you missed out.  Anthony is a young domain investor/site developer that previously lived in China and currently is working in Kuwait.  Anthony and I have become friends because I think he is one of the up and comers in our industry.  His 5 years in China and the fact he is fluent in Chinese enables him to give us an inside look at the Chinese domain industry and the culture in general.  Today's interview in concentrated in this area and offers a perspective we don't often get in our industry. Thanks again for coming back for a few mor... Read More »
