Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with data courtesy of NameBio.
XFU.com sold for 12,300 USD recently at Flippa, vs 8,600 USD in January at NameJet. Nearly a 30% return after commission in under three months….not too shabby.
BodyAches.com sold for 3,800 USD recently at Flippa, vs 890 USD last month at NameJet. Of course, a nearly 300% return in a month is better than 30% in three months. I’ll take either. The second quick flip where the buy was made at NameJet, and the flip made at Flippa. Opportunity abounds…….
HBHH.com sold for 2,800 USD recently at Sedo, vs 426 USD last year at GoDaddy.
PriceMatchers.com sold for 2,652 USD recently at Flippa, vs 1,550 USD in January of this year at GoDaddy.
LetsWorkout.com sold for 2,222 USD recently at NameJet, vs 606 USD last year at NameJet.
6TN.com sold for 1,350 USD recently at NameJet, vs 460 USD on 2008-04-08 at Sedo.
DIYs.com sold for 4,025 USD recently at Flippa, vs 4,620 USD on 2012-01-25 at Sedo. A thousand dollar loss after commission.
SoftwareDeals.com sold for 2,200 USD recently at NameJet, vs 6,000 USD on 2013-02-20 at Sedo. Is the ‘deal’ fad over?
DiscountLuxury.com sold for 1,505 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,544 USD on 2009-01-10 at NameJet.
EAP.net sold for 661 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,600 USD on 2010-01-20 at SnapNames.
LAA.net sold for 890 USD recently at NameJet, vs 1,250 USD on 2011-01-10 at Sedo. LAA.com is currently for sale at Flippa.
Disgust.com sold for 1,485 USD recently at NameJet, vs 4,100 USD on 2007-12-06 at Sedo. If memory serves me correctly, Elliot Silver sold this one last week, and given his track record, I’m pretty sure he’s not the past owner of this domain that took the loss.
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
