Domain Shane’s List of Domains at Auction for Saturday, January 23rd

Jan 23 2016

Return on Investment.  It’s a term I use now more than I used to.  Because the market is moving so fast that its the only way to measure how and when to invest in a name. The goal of domain name investing is making money.  You can measure it in profit dollars generated or you can measure it in how much money you invested and how much you got in return with that money.

Do you buy 1000 names at $8 reg fee and sell for $15 or do you buy a safer $8K name and sell for $12K?  Those are your opportunities. I don’t claim to say one is better than another but I know which one I feel comfortable with.  And in today’s market its both.  The portfolio now contains big batch purchases and some larger one word dot com investments.  And its paying off.  But you have to find what works for you. But do me a favor, don’t pretend like the person that is doing it the opposite of you is not as smart as you.  Because you may very well be wrong.

PS.  Not one person offered me a domain to buy.  I won’t bite. Give me a shot. I have cash.  Here are today’s names. Click for current prices.

PS:  Good luck to all you East Coasters.  One hell of a storm. Call me if you need me to bring my snow plow across the country and plow you out   Great short patterned dot cc.   You get a lot of Cs for the price. It’s all about being memorable and this one certainly is  Not bad acronym letters.  And you’ll get it cheap because of the U. 13 years old  No bidders. $12 and 12 years old.  You deserve one  Nice and round.  Minus that whole zero at the front thing  Not real valuable but can probably get it for $12.  No bidders.  This is what people search for  Thought I could get this cheap but the bids came in.   Good stock site name What all women are looking for in a relationship.  I actually made that up. I have no idea what women want  The I at the end doesn’t bring the price down much because it ends in ZI. Pinyin baby pinyin   Ugly ugly letters.  So that means its worth a fortune    Looks like this one could hit $7K.  I’m a bidder  The 77 just can’t overcome the 4.  Still a nice name  Might as well keep this party rolling and     The 8s make these a little more desirable   If you like then you have to like this one,,,  are some of the best LLLL.nets on the board today   I would think this would go for over $200 right now.  We’ll see,, and   For those of you into the 4 character domains   This has one bid but I don’t believe it to be real.  I sounded English there didn’t I  One bid at $12 at press time

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 – Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)  Evidently 8888 anything has value   No reserve.  dot ly names have continued to sell  Worst license plate every The double Cs turn me on….sorry. I’ll see myself out   Getting a great bid but that’s because we all know the city…….and the volcano  The double vowel in the middle  By now you know I love them.  I’ve never sold them but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and now I’m an expert in them.

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM  1991 domain.    Don’t see them that old very often  Pretty nice pronounceable for $69  CVCV aren’t really selling to endusers but the whole market has really increased over the last 6 months  Nice name, tough reserve  I like this one as a brand.  Not even a real world but still sounds nice  Upgrade name for quite a few companies of the same name  Not much you can say. I’m not buying it because its the worst value in domaining. Only two letters for a half million. 250,000 per letter.   That’s just too much   Going to have to pry this from the hands of Drew.  He will be all over it  Yes please   Streak continues  Just a matter of time before this is a As Seen On Tv product. 12 years old  Awesome   Would love to own a few more like the good old days  Interesting to see how this one finishes out.  The double Q is Chinese only.  I guess it could be Quality Quality  CHiPestern   Good for both types of buyers

You are right Shane, the goal of Domaining is to make money. Period. Everyone has different methods to achieve this end goal. The Economy is not a zero sum game, working smart and doing the legwork will yield good results. Liquity has dramatically improved recently for good Domains, but you still have to make it dead-simple easy for potential buyers to contact you.
