DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Auction Picks: Friday, October 23rd, 2015

Oct 23 2015

Escrow.com

You know who is really winning in these LLLL.com times?  The auction houses.  Especially those that get to sell expiring names like Godaddy and Namejet.  Think how many hundreds of thousands of unexpected money they are raking in.  Not to mention all the auctions that have been listed and sold.  10 and 20 percent of thousands of names that used to be $100 now $1000.  I only wish people bought them off my list.  I get reports on what people buy (not detailed) and the LLLL.coms aren’t what gives me the commissions.  And my commissions haven’t gone up despite the increase in LLLL.coms.  It’s been steady so that may mean some are selling through the list and its making up for the lack of other types of domains that you’re not seeing as much.  Anyone buying LLLL.coms though this list? Or are you just finding them on your own.   Just curious.   Here are Today’s Names. Click for current prices.

ExpressCash.com  19 years old.  No technology invented seems to have slowed down the need for fast money

MortgageExpress.com   19 years old.  No technology invented seems to have slowed down the need to borrow money for a house

NSMO.com  Great English acronym and going for “cheap” because of the emphasis on CHIPs

MakeItPerfect.com  No One bidder at $12.  These types of names are always good to hold. Especially if you can get it cheap

76526.com  Top bid and price on the GD board today

InvenManager.com  Not sure I’ve ever seen a site dropping with 271,000 backlinks.  Also a PR7

ZTXX.com Love this one but it may be too high for my wallet

XXPQ.com  Another XX ending a little bit later

64929.com This may be a little more in my financial wheelhouse.  Although not quite as sexy as ZTXX

1143.cc   I see NNNN.cc going up from here.  All of them

NameRealEstate.com  Essentially how I see domains.  Under $100 at press time

MDMS.cc   4L.cc are starting to hit $20.  Wondering if I should have purchased these instead of the 5l.coms. We’ll see

KRK.co I really don’t like dot co but I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t point out that they are all now getting bids and going for $25 plus here at Godaddy.  this is my favorite today

VG88.com  I have had several emails asking me what I think about LLNN.com.  I say there are better opportunities there right now. That being said, if you are going to buy some, this is the kind you want to buy

CF22.om  And this one

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 – Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

Similar.net  Nice to see a dot net doing well.  Met reserve and will sell

GameAppsMaker.com  Met reserve.  If you do this for a living this is a perfect name.  Could be a marketing name for ads and banners.  Lets them know exactly what you do

Portfolio of 26 LLLL.coms   OK names but the worst comps ever.  Used Trek.com Deco.com and Fork.com.

69H.com  Everyone loves 69

98133.com  Great 5N.com.  Wish I owned it…..I might soon

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

NaturalBath.com  Because i hate the unnatural baths. I never feel clean

P4.com  Not quite a LL.com but damn nice

IBKJ.com  The I takes it out of the CHIP market but these are still rising with the boat

PreciseHosting.com   Pretty much any hosting name has some value. One bidder agrees

ACMH.com  The English speakers are all over this one

NKHV.com   31 bidders.  Over under here is $400

OTFZ.com   A semi CHIP  3 great and one so so

HVZM.com   All the Google results prove these have value in languages other than Chinese and English

JWZV.com  Ditto

Sorry, but I haven’t been following the Chinese invasion that closely. Are all these Chinese premium short domains actually being sold on to end-users at the same high prices, or are they all held by investors who see them as kind of an alternative “safe” investment much like gold?

Once they are posted on your site they go for too much$$$. I have tried to buy some via your links but they seem to go up and up.
Fun to watch which short names and extensions are the favorites. Apparently .com, .cn and .cc are the “top” ones. 🙂

    Joseph Peterson –

Comments closed on the last page, maybe you will see this here.

The point I was making is not to tie an insult, as you percieve it, to what happened with Adam Dicker. The point I was trying to make is that some people have completly ignored what has happened which for me would question whether they would let things slide if the perpertrator of something shady was, for an example, one of their advertisers. I do not get the impression Shane would.

As I said before, good or bad Shane says what he feels, at least with people like this you get an honest opinion. You can agree with it or you can think he is talking bollox but the bottom line is it is what he actually thinks.

As for the actual “insult”, we all work online, I get a ton of spam and unrequested PRs everyday. At the end of the day we are sat behind computers in comfort it is not exactly miners getting Carpal tunnel. Whether someone actually felt slighted I dont know, this whole converstaion could be moot.

      Anthony,

I closed the comments because it was going nowhere. You wont out talk or convince Joseph. I just prefer to not talk to him to keep someone from getting hurt. He or I are not bad guys. There was some throat slashing talk in a thread. It was meant as a joke but I did not find it funny and I vowed to never respond to any more of his comments. I am scared for myself, my family, and my online business of the things he would do to me. I am not claiming he would hurt me but he told me what he was prepared to do to my reputation when he was mad at me last time. It is not a joke to me.

They’re perceived as an alternative investment – albeit one that’s less trackable by the Chinese government. 4L’s, 5N’s, 4N’s, etc. – anything liquid is being Hoover-ed up without much thought for end-users. Some may sell, but for now they’re just being held.

Shane, one reason I come back here every day is the variety. Thanks for making it about more than one category or price range. You’d be amazed how fast those ‘no bids’ auctions get bids as a result of this site.
