Maybe because I work retail all day, but inquiries on my domains don’t bother me at all. I deal with “tire kickers” and time wasters every day.  At the nursery I spend hours with people that don’t buy anything.  But you use your best judgement to determine who is there to buy and who is there because you’re the only smiling face in the world that will talk to them for an hour.  You can’t dismiss anyone by how they dress, look, or act because I have had people drive up in 20 year old beat up cars and spend $10,000.  Farmers and construction workers come in covered in dirt in older clothes and drop big money.  People from India tend to not spend as much but often times they spend more.  To judge someone by their race or appearance is idiotic and not in the best interest of your business.  Don’t get me wrong, its hard.  Especially after you’ve taken time with a certain type of person 12 times in a row and sold virtually nothing. But this is sales.  You take every lead you can, qualify them as best you as can, and then do your job.  And if you’re good at it and your product is good quality, it will end well.  Domains are absolutely no different.  The difference is it is much easier to answer all the inquiries quickly because of the tools like DomainNameSales.  Even 15 inquiries a day can be automated with a simple canned response and price.  Any positive response are picked up and worked, all negative and “are you crazy” responses are ignored or requalified.  Any inquiry is positive to me.  The person on the other end took a few minutes to fill something out.  It could turn out to be a time waster but compared to the hour walk around and discussions that I get every single day at the nursery, its a piece of cake.  And there is no computer screen or tools to ignore them.  I have to be much more creative and professional when they are standing in front of you.  Long story short, don’t bitch about your domain inquiries, manage them.    Here are today’s names  Has to be one the top prices for an at Godaddy this year  Similar letters but a little different price This LLLL comes with 39 free monthly visits.  I like the name. Not sure I like it as much as the high bidder but its 17 years old and its legal next year  Three vowels. Breaks the new no vowel rules but still doing OK  Just your average over $1000  Is a popular online Slots Game.  Godaddy doesn’t show any traffic but all the bidders show that it has some interest in it one way or another   and  All up for auction as well and fetching good prices  Not real valuable but solid restaurant or bar name for $20.  Only one bidder at $12

    I agree about not judging/dismissing potential buyers. I have had some huge sales that started off very weird or suspicious. And some inquiries I though might be fake or tire kickers led to sales. It is worth responding to all potential buyers.

    Agreed, I have a friend that use to sell cars and she told me that she had a customer walk into her dealership and she sold him a $150,000 car. She sold it because the people at Porsche, Mercedes and Audi dealerships wouldn’t help him because he was about 25 and wearing ripped jeans and a T shirt. Turned out to be some Tech millionaire and he bought the car in cash,

    I love using the DNS platform and use it to respond to every inquiry, Getting leads to bitch about is better than no leads at all.

    I have never met a successful sales person who did not like getting leads / inquiries.
