DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, April 16th, 2015

Apr 16 2015

Escrow.com

I think one of the most undervalued part of a good domain name is its use an email.  An email is your lifeblood to communication.  Having a good email that you can give out verbally and have the other person remember it easily is valuable.  One could say that a good gmail address does the same thing and I don’t disagree.  Gmail works because it is so popular that if you have a memorable short left side then your recipient will remember.  But a short left side is very hard to come by.  Numbers and letters usually have to be added to create a new one at this point.  With your own domain you can have anything you want on the left.  An domain for only email may not have the same value as one used for commerce but it certainly has great value.  Something that should not be overlooked.  Here are today’s domains

Here are today’s domains

FineRugs.com  Because shitty rugs just doesn’t have the same ring to it. 19 years old

JPro.com  So.. is this worth more than J.pro?

2065.net   Opening bid is $50.  I think it’s probably worth that

e9t.com   Has a $100 left to run based on past results

e5J.com ditto.

OTTX.com     I like it. X at the end is tough, but I still like it

ElectricStudio.com  Good upgrade name for a few companies

WFD.cc  Giggity giggity .  Love seeing the .cc getting bids.

475.cc  Just saw this one.   Over a thousand !!!    Don’t acquire yet but it there IS a little movement in dot cc that bears watching

TNS.cc I promise this will be the last one I list

FWAB.com  Not a lot of bidders but there is one that really likes it

DENO.com  Been up for sale a few times.  Not sure reserve but certainly over $5K

XONU.com  This one is $4800 less.  Worth a lot more IMO.  I am going to bid on this one

NEW GODADDY COUPON CODE: $1.99 Transfer into Godaddy VARIANT

Feel.com  May have a six figure sale here

DataAnalytics.io  Big data is big money and so is .io lately.  At $200

Rulers.net  10 years old. Reserve met.  Buyer states that Rules.net  sold for $3750 but that’s a totally different word.  But this one is a nice name on its own

Discountz.com   Discount names sell well.  The Z names are selling well also. Put them together and you’ve got a couple thousand dollar name and that’s where we are

AnimalHats.com   A nice body and an animal hat can be kind of sexy. But that may just be my thing.  Millions of results on Google.  Under $100 and reserve met

KGA.com  My favorite of all the LLL.coms at Sedo’s Great Domains auction

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

DAIG.com  34 bidders.   16 years old

ButtonJar.com  I think this makes a great brand. No bidders.  Nobody keeps their buttons in a  jar any more but most get the meaning.

OnlineStudio.com   99 bidders agree. This is a nice name for a graphic design company

Celg.com   One of my top stock holdings is Celgene.  That’s all I think of when I see this.   (that’s their stock symbol)

RTPO.com  All good letters.  But not a lot of bidders

ChefTraining.com   Culinary school is a better term but still says what the school or site does

VUUF.com  Pending delete but not a lot of bidders

One major drawback of having a cool gmail addy is spam: I have my first name @gmail.com and without fail get 50-80 spam messages every day of the year lol.
