DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Friday, March 13th, 2015

Mar 13 2015

If you are reading this on your phone you probably notice that our site now displays a lot better.  This website was super responsive and then we decided to have a couple things custom coded and honestly never realized how bad it was on a phone because we don’t go to our own site.  Every web designer told us that our site was not responsive but our own.  So we hired a new web designer and he did a great job. We still have a few tweaks but overall it is much better.  A lot of sites drop their advertisers in the phone version because it requires some custom coding to make it fit.  And we have four ads up top so we had him custom code a rotating banner that let them still be seen.  They are the reason why we can continue to write every day so its important that they are seen.  We’ll have a round two of fixes but most people should be happy with round one. PS My Grandpa turns 90 today.  He and my Grandma just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.  I can only hope my wife and I have half the fun they’ve had.   Here are today’s names  15 million results for all the people with this last name. 20 years old  18 year old which in itself is worth taking a double look at Email domain of the day.  I would love to give this out to someone.  A lot of people need one and most people have an extra.  Might have to start brokering kidneys.  No bidders for some reason  I probably should be bidding on this one.  A few other people have.  7 million results  A very popular tomato.  A non popular domain.  No bidders Going to break $10K.  Been a while since any solid have been on GD and probably will be the last because of their new commission structure Not as good as above but it could still reach four figures. Half way there  I haven’t won an in a month and I bid on almost every single one.  They are flying.  This one should hit $400 IMO.  $250 to go  The average is $250 but IMO this is better than average  People don’t understand why number dot orgs generally don’t do well. Its because the Chinese don’t buy them.  Its one of the reasons why this one is so cheap compared to com and net  This one is going to do very very well.  I’m a bidder here

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now   10 years old, $4.50 CPC.   People have to make a choice to stop but when they do they seek out info.  At $2  Looking at comparable sales I was surprised to see that most of the industry names tend to sell for $3K or so.  This one is at $1  Heck a big buildout but can you imagine a site with the rules of all games and sports?  Would be amazing. 18 years old  I actually like better but still a nice affiliate name.  Price is still fair IMO   Not great with grammar but smart enough to know this one is going to do well.  And it is already

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Tranfer. te99comp  17 years old and not getting a lot of love  Sexy and short.  Just like Elliot  A medieval term for a young male prostitute.  I suggest a different brand.  Maybe a kidney brokerage site  Going to be a lot of registrars fighting over this pending delete.  Much more family friendly than  Most people know addicting games.  Going to be tough to create your own brand because of the similarities

Thank you for the upgrade to a responsive site. Next step is to fix the links to the godaddy auctions for the domains your promoting. For some reason they just go to the godaddy auctions home page on mobile. Might be on godaddy’s end.

That is a Godaddy issue. They have no direct links in mobile. It is a total pain in the ass. They have a completely different platform for mobile and it loses all links when you do. You have reminded me to contact them about that.

Two years ago, you could pluck good LLLL and NNNNN domains for Go Daddy BIN or even hand reg (NNNNN).

I picked up a few and hope that they appreciate nicely.
