DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015

Mar 03 2015

If you could have a million dollars cash or which one would you take?  For me it’s an easy choice.  But you would have the million dollars in hand, ready to get working on the next investment.  Could you put it into a stock and triple it by the time you sell  That’s the question.  What’s the value of cash vs potential.  I’ll take the potential in this case.  Just food for thought.  Yours?  Here are today’s names   Plants make good brands.  Or so I’m finding out. 8 bids  Gets 33 visits a month so must have been used for something.  Not huge value but 14 years old and passionate user base  No bidders.  What I get from my wife when I lay on the couch for a few hours  As effective as onlineassitant and a whole lot cheaper.  One bidder at press time Dr.Tom Kukos  1 bidder.  Memorable brand.  Which reminds me.  I love Chic Fl   It’s like Day with a D on the end    No 4s but only at $65.  Then again, no 8s, 7s, or 5s.   Not at $10K but sure it’s going to take more than that to meet reserve  Liked it the first time at auction.  The owner liked it more.  Let’s try it again  Gets 400 visits per month.  Obvious use for business listings.  Reserve met at $40  Because Zs are cool and saves you a couple hundred thousand dollars.  12 years old.  Reserve met at $135 and has room to run IMO

58 Domain Portfolio   58 domains, one price.   Under $3 per name and reserve met   Mardi Gras is big enough name to make .net work    The only use of this is pant like a dog.  But it could be a brand as well.  Probably won’t meet reserve but only $750 right now and you never know  Has met reserve  I like this one a little more but it’s at $300 and judging by the above, needs another $100 to reach reserve   Met reserve at $14K.  A few days to go

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration.  gofdsp401c   17 years old.  I for Iroquois 18 years old.  No bidders.  Somebody is going to have to set it  How can you not want to own a name of something that most people have two of?  Only 19 bidders. Before this post that is  No bidders.  Not worth a lot but memorable name for commercials. And honestly, men never get flowers unless they died   Has be a different meaning than Coochie with 166 bidders  Love the double 8s
