DSAD—> Shane’s LIST of Domain Auction Picks: FunDay Sunday

Escrow.com

A couple people (or one) did exactly what I was going to do over at Flippa.  They hunted for CHIPS that had BIN set below the market value and hit buy.   There were a couple of very nice names with a BIN at $2400 and as soon as similar names hit $3100 at Godaddy they became good buys.  You have to take 20% off the prices to get the real value because that’s is what it is going to cost to sell.  (Flippa is only 10%) At $3K then a $2400 name is obviously break even.  But the market has been moving up fairly fast so that could change soon.  I really didn’t expect it to move this fast. Nobody did. But I did think it would move to $3K to $5K per CHIP by January.  That time has already come.  But the patterns are starting to separate themselves in value. With ABCA, AABC, ABAC, types of names moving up at a faster rate. Of course AAAB, BAAA, ABAB, and AABB are the super premiums of the group and have the potential to really jump.   Only time will tell.  And by time I mean like 3 or 4 days. Just kidding.  Here are today’s names. Click for current prices.

.
SportShades.com  Every running and triathlon expo has 3 or more booths selling these. Of course every darn one is made by Luxotica. 19 years old and quite a few bids
.
SBMI.com 18 years old and a great Western acronym.  Take advantage of the discounts on these would be my advice
.
BargainProperties.com  We all love good deals. The only problem is that when the people selling them call them bargains they usually aren’t.  18 years old
.
Pryvacy.com  I actually like this misspelling. Unfortunately there is another bidder
.
XYBN.com   I would actually consider this pronounceable AND a CHIP
.
55515.net   I don’t do 5N.nets but I do see why people would want to own this one
.
TGGT.net  Very nice LLLL.net.  I am a bidder because I really like the pattern
.
CBCM.net  Another great pattern.  5% says $150-175 ish
.
2222188.com  Yup, a 7 number dot com getting some great bids
.
9998288.com  Another 7N.   These are the type people are buying. And paying $500 plus
.
And the rest of the 7Ns today several at $10  9998288, 2222788, 2222988, 2222388, 9995988, 9991988, 9998788, 9998588, 9993988, 1118822, 1118833, 9999133, 9999255, 9992211, 9999511, 3333700, 9999522, 9999611, 9999855, 9999655
.
NumberMonger.com  If you are buying all the above go ahead and throw this one in.  You officially are
.
8i.biz  Despite the .biz scam that went on earlier.  Short dot biz are still doing well.  They were doing well before that all went down
.
9i.biz  Might as well buy the pair why’ll you’re at it
.
330B.com  I have been buying this type for a while.  I always thought they were easy to remember and a good deal for $12.  Not $12 any more
.
922p.com  There are less than 26,000 of these
.
HG8895.com  I wish I knew this type much better.  Many do very very well. I just don’t know which names to look for.  They do seem to keep going up

..
Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 – Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)
.

Problem.com  Easy six figure name.  No problem

29 LLLL.coms    All comes down to what Domain Holdings’ reserve is.  Funny because this was listed a week or so ago and the three CHIPS have gained $1000 each so the reserve may actually be doable for a change

Hi Shane, really getting good guidance form your posts – thanks very much. Can you remind me what CHIPS means?
    Best wishes from rainy Ireland.
    Paul.

      Paul,
Any LLLL domain name without a vowel or V are considered “Chips”. I have heard / seen the word chips being used for the LLL names as well.
      Cheers

    2. Chris @ Swing Names

      CHIP = CHInese Premium.

Doubt it will take off in the same way, but I’m using the term ‘super premium’ to refer to the thirteen letters valued as premium in both Western and Chinese markets (b,c, d, f, g, h, l, m, n, p, r, s, and t)

Thanks all for the comments. For some reason I’m not getting the emails telling me there is a comment and missed all of these. Won’t again. Thanks for coming by and reading each day.
