My Favorite And Ironic Post/Response of the Month

Nov 03 2010

I love a good laugh and there have been some great ones with the DomainStryker-Epik battle going on lately.  It’s been great for Francois and Domaining.com because both of them have been forced to spend some money to combat the other’s war of words.  Today’s from Mike was my favorite.  He threw Andrew (Mr. Switzerland) into the mix. I’m not saying he’s right or wrong but I realize I would rather have Mike on my team than against me because he’s vicious.  He had me all the way though the post until I got to this last comment and then…….well….I just laughed when I got to the “retarted” in all caps.  The irony was too much.  It showed a little background of the two people fighting.  The popular, highly intelligent Rob vs. the street guy Mike who may have not had the best grades in school but is hard working, brash, doesn’t care what people think and knows how to make money.

“”…the street guy Mike who may have not had the best grades in school but is hard working, brash, doesn’t care what people think and knows how to make money.”’

Who has turned off ‘so many’ from taking him seriously, or ever doing business with him due to his total lack of class and negative berating of ‘everyone’. Big deal he makes, money. So do flim-flaming used car salespeople. There’s a reason one needs to publicly deride their competition and others. Desperation. But, we present ourselves as we see ourselves.

It’s funny I caught that also. While Mike’s approach is abrasive and he tends to piss a lot of people off, I too though he was just a jerk initially. That is until I started looking at some of the links and information that he provides through his blog. Let’s just say that I have learned more and gotten a wealth of useful information and links to services and providers that is unrivaled by any other domain blog. I still think he is abrasive, and I don’t completely agree with his approach or rivalry with Epik, but right or wrong there is no one in the domain blogosphere that comes off as knowledgeable about development and the various platforms and technologies available as this guy, this is of course Black Hat techniques aside.

While in all fairness to Epik, I don’t know much about his methods and/or about Rob Monster other than what I read occasionally from his posts or second hand from other blogs, the fact that he has not publicly addressed the whole debacle with Google, does not sit right with me, nor give me much confidence in his methods.

……………….very patronizing…………..Very disappointed you would want to add to this embarrassing situation.
