SHANE’S BIG LIST: Saturday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on February 15th, 2014

Feb 15 2014

So after months of waiting the auction ended yesterday at $8100.  Two bidders got into a bidding war and took it from $1200 to the final price.  That happens all the time except for one thing.   The auction rules state you merely won the right to buy and if you don’t want to, you don’t have to pay and take the name.  That’s right.  I could bid a million dollars, get the publicity and then walk away.   Sounds like the test auction that auctioneers do at the beginning where they sell the hotel or the building that their having the auction in.  So they way I see it if this sale goes on the record then my purchase of the Fairmont Hotel back in 2012 for 1.2 million is official.  Here are today’s names  I’m sure you’re going to have to outbid the Turtle Island Quartet fanclub members  Or as they’re known to each other “the turtleheads” .  16 years old  Great celeb blog name.  Also 16 years old 10 years old.  Simple and memorable.  I love tow in surfing but only from the beach  Not a lot of choices today but this would have made the list on a good day  Get it?  Marijuana and de Pot

Worthless Random Fact: Leonardo Da Vinci invented scissors   There is a whole slew of great keyword dot nets today.  Most, like this, are from 1998  Mmmmmmm  tacos.  One of the best selling foods in the world  mmmmmmm steak.   Vegetarians are silly   A word, 900K results on Google   The best part of the name is it is truly generic. Can be used for anything  Another one of the great dot nets  Pretty sure you can’t call people this any more.  They’re called special.   I use Mechanical Turk

And here is a look back at yesterday’s Book of 10   The traditional gift of Valentines day.  Flowers and Candy.  Auction ends today and auction price is under what the cost of a box of candy. recently sold for $10,600.  Registered 15 years ago and has a high CPC.   Current bid is $1.  Pretty sure it will go for more than that  Starting bid at $100.  I don’t have to tell you the value of backlinks or the opportunity to sell info on how to get them. Recent similar sales InstantBacklinks for $3500. $3500  I for Internet, i for i as in mine, international, independent, indie, indian, island, or just a cool lookin domain. Renewal fee is $250 a year thru owners reseller. $19K Registered in 1997.  One of the most coveted markets for retailers.  They spend with reckless abandon on everything from apps, to clothes, to books. Contact me to buy or make offer  $5500 Valentine’s Day Special.  That represents a 50% discount compared to the original price paid for this killer keyword $15K  If there’s anything that consumers need this time of year it’s tax help.  A billion dollar industry.  16 year old domain with tremendous build out potential.  Contact me to buy or make offer  $ 988  Chinese Sur name. Short. Pronounceable. Aged. Book of Ten special price. Contact via Whois  Remember, it’s Chinese so just buy it $350 OBO  Speaking of Chinese. This is Chinese for the West Indies.   $485  If you’ve played golf and had a tough shot then most likely you’ve been saved by a hybrid club.  1900 searches per month and has it at $2400

And a little self promotion   The key to making dot info is having a service or product that people are looking for or need and this fits.  41,000 searches per month.  If you own a tree and need a tree service this is what you’re looking for.  As a person in that business I know how hard they are to find.  I would build it out myself but I have 100 other names in line to build out.
