Sunday’s (or Easter’s) Big List of Domains at Auction or Dropping Around Town 4-8-12

Apr 08 2012

Sorry about missing the list yesterday.  Had to take my daughter to Titanic 3D and forgot it was 15 hours long.  By “take my daughter” to Titanic 3D I mean I convinced my daughter to go with me.  Unfortunately once again, despite there being plenty of room on that floating door, Rose didn’t let Jack get out of the cold water.  Drives me nuts.  Not onto today’s light list and for those who celebrate Easter, enjoy the time with your family.  We don’t do enough of it with our busy schedules.  Unless you are an at home domainer and then your family probably needs their space today. Going for a little over $200 now and’s value is 10 times that  Can’t believe this has no bidders.  A dentist should own this thing.  Even better, you should own it and sell it to your dentist.  It will pay for those four crowns.  No bidders on this 1997 domain  I’d rather have a skills coach as if I’m going to pay someone to teach me I would like to learn more than one skill.   I really like this domain.   It would also be a great name for a dating site for ugly people.  I put my bid in so this is stupid for me to put it on the list, but I needed another name and this is one of the names I thought would have good resale value.  Been a while since a good has dropped  Look at the amount of paid ads for this.   And $19 CPC isn’t too shabby either.  For sale over at the forum.  Tablets are certainly the future just not sure what the real word people are actually using besides iPad.

And a little Easter Humor for everyone

Three blondes died and are at the pearly gates of heaven. St. Peter tells them that they can enter the gates if they can answer one simple question. St. Peter asks the first blonde, “What is Easter?” The blonde replies, “Oh, that’s easy! It’s the holiday in November when everyone gets together, eats turkey, and are thankful and stuff…” “Wrong!,” replies St. Peter, and proceeds to ask the second blonde the same question, “What is Easter?” The second blonde replies, “Easter is the holiday in December when we put up a nice tree, exchange presents, and drink eggnog.” St. Peter looks at the second blonde, shakes his head in disgust, tells her she’s wrong, and then peers over his glasses at the third blonde and asks, “What is Easter?” The third blonde smiles confidently and looks St. Peter in the eyes, “I know what Easter is.” “Oh?” says St. Peter, incredulously. “Easter is the Christian holiday, that coincides with the Jewish celebration of Passover. Jesus and his disciples were eating at the last supper. Then the Romans took him to be crucified and he was stabbed in the side, made to wear a crown of thorns, and was hung on a cross with nails through his hands. He was buried in a nearby cave which was sealed off by a large boulder.” St. Peter smiles broadly with delight. Then the third blonde continues, “Every year the boulder is moved aside so that Jesus can come out…and, if he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.”

I’m sure glad that I’m not a blonde.

It’s difficult enough being old and fat.

On another note: for so-so Namejet domains I tend NOT to place bids there. Even with great domains, I just don’t trust them and bid very carefully and with great pause.

I have experienced too many hinky problems with that company, such as “disappearing” won domains and difficult transfers from their two-bit shell registrars.

Also, Namejet is not transparent enough regarding “pre-release” domains, which can mean just about anything, including private sellers, who can present their own set of problems, such as shill bidding and non-follow through with sales.

    Always buyer beware.
