THE BIG AFTERMARKET LIST: Saturday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on May 3rd, 2014

May 03 2014

Escrow.com

A month into the new gTLD introduction and I am still the proud owner of none. At this point I see no reason for me to own one.  There are so many other ways make money in domain investing at this point I see no reason to buy any.  I don’t need them to diversify.  I have no worries about missing any boats. I am doing fine flipping other categories.  Therefore I don’t waste any time looking or reading.  Honestly there is more money flipping 5 number dot coms that new gTLDs.  But I’m not doing that either, for the same reasons mentioned above.  I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing all along. Working my niche until I can’t work it any more.  Here are today’s names

i87.com   Short and memorable. 15 years old.   Sounds like a BMW model

TinyGarden.com  Great gardening brand.  I have plenty so I’ll share this one with you. 13 years old.  No bidders.  And if you don’t want it I guess I will take it. Ok, I couldn’t wait.  I started the bidding.  I’ll take it at $12

Enriching.com  Not a word we use often but still a positive word that would make a nice brand.  12 years old

BuyCredits.com  Not sure what the credits will be for.  Carbon, time, or online

PussNBoobs.com  My favorite Dreamworks movie.  But it may not be DreamWorks now that I think of it.

BuyCarbon.com  I know the name was registered for carbon credits but carbon fibre is a HUGE market and if I’m a seller I want this name

CivilDuty.com  No bidders.  I think it’s a nice political name

92976.com   Every day I am more amazed what these things are going for

SuccessAcademy.com    Lots of fake diplomas out there from this place

NEW!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $.99 cent new registration Dot Com GOFD4004HE

Landess.com  17 years old. Very popular name and hundreds of companies share the name as well

Gallard.com  Same here but on a smaller scale

Zeeo.com  Good brand.  Not a great acronym but still tons of value here

9666.net  Price has already moved high but only 22 bidders

0281.com   I get a little sick to my stomach when I see these prices.   And yet I feel like they will keep moving up

0364.com  Here’s another.  Has a 4 but that really only takes off a little now

ZigZags.com  Probably selling at record levels

777.asia   If you want to roll the dice on the tld, this is as good of a feeler as you’re going to get

8847.net  Dropping so get your bid in at several different places if you’re interested

And In Case You Missed Yesterday’s Book of 10

Aunts.com and Uncles.com (auction)  Great names for branding. Everyone knows how to spell them and certainly memorable.  A family history site or some boys vs girls websites would work well.

Ganja.io  Combining the hot marijuana with the startup tlds of choice and you have a pretty memorable domain.  I don’t need to tell you about Colorado and the other states that are going to follow.  I’ll throw in a bag of doritos to whomever buys this

Matzos.com  You want to own the category?  Here you go.  Almost every grocery store has a section that has matzos so somebody must be eating them

89848.com  There has been no category of domains that has appreciated faster in 2014 than 5N.coms.  This one has three 8s perfectly spaced.  While nothing is guaranteed, if the past year’s history has any worth, most likely what you pay at this auction will be less than it goes for in the next auction

SolarKit.com ($5K, Escrow split 50/50)  83 million results for Solar Kits on Google tell you that millions are converting to solar power.  And most people want the whole kit.  Not just a panel.  They need the panels, cables, converter, and storage.  aka the kit.

Kayaking.org (auction)  16 years old, DMOZ listed.  Used to be a kayaking blog for many years with posts from people all over the world. Blog content can come with purchase if new owner desires.   A great opportunity for a quick buildout

Stoner.co (auction)  There is no hotter market than marijuana right now.  Look at Google Trends and you’ll see that the word “stoner” is at all time high. You know what’s not high?  The price at the time of this posting.

WyomingRealEstate.org ($2K) Thousands of listings in Realtor dot org for Wyoming and this one doesn’t have the trademark issues of Realtor names.  Take 10% off any of the other names on the list by mentioning you saw it here.

BlueOrPink.com ($1399)  Great Gender Reveal Party name.  Comes with logo and tumblr site.   Buy any two names on the list and get 50% off a third.  Buy three and get one FREE

Sai.com   The price may reach a new record for an LLL.com on Namejet

And since the list sold out I will have to put a couple of my names here

FreshCutFlowers.com  ($5000)   Let Bill McClure make you rich with this name

Santa.cc (Make Offer)  Andrew Rosener bought the dot com and is going to do great things with it.  Buy the name that is easier to type

ImTooFat.com  ($500)  Because most of the world is

Textn.com  $1000   I hear texting is going to catch on

Have a name at auction and need more exposure. Send me an email. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.   *All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

Agreed. If we can see gTLDs producing millions of new domain owners who may one day want to upgrade to .com, then there’s no reason why we should not focus all our energy on .com.
