Listed below are updates to the top 10 domain sales from a year this week, as ranked by DN Journal.

1. MSC.com for $47,600

  • A whale of an upgrade from MSCGVA.ch. Alexa rank near 2.1 million. “A privately-owned company founded in 1970, MSC is one of the leading global shipping lines of the world.”

2. NU.com.br for $45,000

  • No site resolves, but appears to be an upgrade from NuBank.com.br, and they just landed over $14 million in funding. Per TechCrunch, Nubank, a financial services startup based in Brazil, is today opening for business with two key pieces of news. It is launching its first product: a MasterCard Platinum credit card that you can manage through an Android or iOS app. And it is revealing some of the details of its own finances so that the world knows Nubank means business: the company has raised $14.3 million led by Sequoia Capital — the storied Silicon Valley VC’s first investment in a Brazil startup.

3. Folia.com for $37,500

  • We’re gearing up to release a next-generation authoring tool. It blows the socks off of the linear word processors we’ve all been stuck using. It’s inspired by years of work observing how we communicate, learn, and record ideas (and of course our experience with iAnnotate). We’ll be launching the first version this summer.” Traffic leader for the week, with an Alexa rank just over 400,000.

  • Supporter.com is the first betting service that actually cares about teams, clubs, supporters and betting companies. It’s founded in Sweden by Peo Strömberg.”

5. Volei.com for $25,500

  • Appears to translate from Portuguese into Volleyball, and the same owner controls the Portuguese equivalent of Sport.com, Basketball.com and Football.com.

  • Redirects to NotebooksBilliger.de, which per Google Translate, means “cheaper notebooks”.

  • Owner under privacy protection and no site resolves.

9. Burton.cn for $17,500

  • The Chinese language site for Burton, the snowboarding company.

  • Some sort of Chinese-language search engine looking site. The links at the bottom of the page range in topics from varnish to emergency supplies.

    3.biz does not work. I tried several terms such as ‘restaurant’, ‘taxi’, and ‘doctor’ in Chinese but all returned an error page. When I searched for the site using Baidu.com, I was warned the site might be a phishing site.
